There are only adult groups, with the minimum age being 15 years, and no maximum age limit. :)
The instructor will take care of you, considering that you’re a beginner, and the first lesson will be an introductory one. So, you don’t need to worry about not understanding or interrupting anyone.
It’s important to understand what is practiced in a Ki-Aikido dojo, which is why we believe it’s better to actively participate in the first training session, rather than just watching.
Anyone can attend Ki-Aikido training sessions, regardless of their physical condition. Each exercise can be adapted according to each person’s capabilities.
However, if you are over 50 years old, it will be necessary to obtain a doctor’s clearance within the first 90 days of joining the organization, confirming that you are fit for light/moderate physical activity.
Certainly. You can attend Ki-Aikido classes regardless of your medical conditions. Since the training is composed of two parts: mind-body coordination and Aikido, you can participate only in the coordination exercises, which involve no physical effort, just the ability to stand.
There are no beginner or advanced groups, so you can start practicing anytime. The first lesson will be an introductory one, and after that, you’ll practice alongside the other students and discover the art as you progress.
No matter which club you choose to join, the costs are the same—150 lei per month (30 euro). This includes all the training sessions conducted by the club in a month (approximately 8-10 sessions, depending on the number of weekdays in that month).
For your first training session, make sure to bring a pair of slippers and a t-shirt with sports pants. You should also arrive 15-20 minutes earlier to meet the instructor and get changed.
Before coming to the dojo, check the class schedule and choose which instructor you’d like to sign up with, based on your availability. It would be a good idea to speak with the instructor beforehand, so they know to expect you before the class starts.
